DESCRIPTION:In this presentation\, the compound class of metallacrowns (MCs
) will be introduced. In addition\, the successful incorporation of kineti
cally inert chromium(III) ions in these MC scaffolds and their influence o
n the stability and the magnetic properties will be shown. These first suc
cessful chromium(III) MC syntheses pave the way for new kinetically and th
ermodynamically stable MCs to be used in future applications. I am continu
ing this line of research by now implementing magnetically anisotropic ion
s in chromium metallacrown cavities to obtain stable high-performance SMMs
for future spintronics applications.\nSpeaker: Anne Lüpke
