Mission

The MPGC enables high-level interdisciplinary doctoral research and training.

Through joint supervision, thematic Focus Groups, and a coordinated training framework, we provide doctoral researchers with the necessary support and intellectual freedom required to pursue innovative research beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries.

Our mission is to combine scientific excellence with cross-institutional collaboration and to prepare doctoral researchers for leadership roles in academia, industry, and society.

Vision

Scientific progress increasingly emerges at the intersections of established fields. The MPGC aims to be a leading platform for such research in Mainz and beyond.
