Organization & Coordination

The coordination of the Max Planck Graduate Center mit der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität (MPGC) is distributed across the participating institutions and supported by the MPGC gGmbH.

In line with its inter-institutional character, coordination responsibilities are integrated into existing institutional structures and carried out through designated part-time allocations rather than a centralized full-time administrative office.

This model ensures close alignment with the Max Planck Institutes and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz while maintaining lean administrative structures.

Responsible for overall administrative coordination and financial oversight of the MPGC gGmbH.

Responsible for financial management and annual accounting of the MPGC gGmbH.

The institutional coordinators implement MPGC procedures locally at their respective institutions.
Their coordination roles are integrated into their broader institutional responsibilities.
