Focus Group Meeting of the “Interdisciplinary Numercial Modelling Studies” Group

On May 29, 2026, the Members of the Focus Group “Interdisciplinary Numerical Modelling Studies” came together for a mini-symposium and scientific exchange meeting to foster interdisciplinary and interinstitutional communication.

The event featured 16 engaging presentations delivered by MPGC students and faculty members within the focus group, providing a valuable platform for students to showcase their recent accomplishments. The talks highlighted a wide variety of methodologies and research topics, with sessions spanning chemistry, applied mathematics, Earth and geo sciences, polymer sciences, and machine learning.
Beyond the formal presentations, attendees enjoyed valuable informal exchanges during the lunch and coffee breaks. These networking opportunities were highly successful in connecting different research groups, exchanging ideas, and laying the groundwork to initiate new collaborative projects.
